A 27 year old San Francisco native, Warren Lain began receiving formal ear training and music theory instruction in the Kodaly method at the age of seven. Prompted in his early understanding of music and experience with the world-touring San Francisco Boys' Chorus, he went on to study a variety of instruments including piano, acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass, and drums. In 2005, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in Ethnomusicology, with a concentration in world music.
His styles range from blues to rock, from folk to classical, as well as indie, alternative, and experimental music.
He now resides in San Jose, writing, performing, recording, and teaching music. In his spare time, he continues a series of video tutorials on YouTube that are rapidly growing in popularity.
He is currently offering his services as a session musician, composer, and private tutor. You can contact him here.
